Born at Portland Oregon, April15, 1945. Moved to Grants pass OR in 1946 subsequently to Medford, Eugene, and Salem. Left the state at 16 and graduated High School in Mansfield OH 1963. Returned to Grants Pass in 1991.

My jobs included Medical Administration, Real Property and Cost Accounting Analysis, culminating in duties as a First Sergeant with a SAC Reconnaissance Wing in the United Kingdom from 1983 to 1990. First Sergeants are responsible to the Commander for promoting morale, good order, and discipline in the enlisted ranks as well as aiding supervisors gain skills at each level of the unit.

Provided case-management and psychotherapy to adolescent boys in residential treatment and their biological parents as well as adults acting in loco parentis.

CHILD AND ADOLESCENT THERAPIST AND CRISIS THERAPIST, JOSEPHINE COUNTY MENTAL HEALTH
Provided individual therapies in a Youth Correctional Facility as well as answered mental health crises in the Emergency Department at the local hospital as well as county correctional facilities. Assessed patients for commitment to treatment.

READJJUSTMENT COUNSELLING THERAPIST, VETERANS ADMINISTRATION
Provided psychotherapy to returning combat soldiers, sailors, marines, and airmen as well as their families in an outpatient setting. Modalities included individual, group, couples, and family therapies.

Course work included individual, group, and family therapies. Was selected to complete my practicum at the Cambridge University Counselling Service, Cambridge United Kingdom. I was asked by the Principal Counselor to spend an additional year at Cambridge post-practicum to continue therapy with returning scholars. Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC); license now retired.

I have volunteered time and sweat to planting riparian areas adjacent to local streams. Been married for 52 years.
